Lean On (referred to as “us” or “we”), provides the leadonadmit.com website, as well as certain downloadable products and services (collectively referred to as “Services”), subject to your compliance with the following Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”), as well as any other written agreement(s) between us and you.
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time with or without notice to you. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to periodically review this Site and these Terms. Your continued use of this Site and Services after such modifications will constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of the modified Terms.
As used in these Terms, references to our “Affiliates” include our owners, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, officers, directors, suppliers, partners, sponsors, and advertisers, and includes (without limitation) all parties involved in creating, producing, and/or delivering this Site and/or contents and Services available on this Site.
By using this site and services on this site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not wish to be bound by the these terms, please exit the site. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with this site, products, services or offerings available on this site, or these terms is to cease using the site and/or those particular products, services or offerings. These terms are effective upon purchase of any Service.
All communications between Lean On and client are strictly confidential. At no time will your name or work be released beyond our advisors.
Description of Services:
Lean On provides a number of Services for users on its Site, including medical school, pharmacy school, and other professional school educational admissions counseling, entrance essay review, mock interview preparation and career counseling. A full list of Services provided can be viewed at www.leanonadmit.com/services.
Services are not provided by licensed academic counselors, professional consultants, or other similar professionals. Lean On is not a part of any professional consulting associations, school admissions committees, and has no affiliation with them.
You acknowledge that when working on essays, Lean On will never write your essay for you. Lean On will provide guidance in the writing process and offer detailed revisions, however no portion of the personal statement will be written by Lean On. As outlined in the AMCAS certification: "I certify that all written passages, such as the personal statement, essays required from M.D./Ph.D. applicants, and descriptions of work/activities, are my own and have not been written, in part or in whole, by a third party. Quotations are permitted if the source is cited." As outlined in the PharmCAS certification: "I certify, as required in the application, that I have read and understand all application instructions, including the provisions which note that I am responsible for monitoring and ensuring the progress of my application progress. I certify that I have read and will abide by all school-specific instructions for my designated pharmacy schools. I certify that all the information and statements I have provided in this application are current, correct, and complete to the best of my knowledge. I understand that withholding information requested on the PharmCAS application, or giving false information, may be grounds for denial of admission to a pharmacy institution participating in PharmCAS or may be grounds for expulsion from the institution I have been admitted and may prevent me from entering the pharmacy profession. I give permission to PharmCAS to release any information related to my PharmCAS application to my designated pharmacy institutions and other education associations. I acknowledge and agree that my sole remedy in the event of any proved errors or omissions related to the handling or processing of my application by PharmCAS is to obtain a refund of my PharmCAS application fee. I agree that my admission essays and other materials may be subject to submission for textual similarity review to Turnitin for Admissions for the detection of plagiarism duplication as a potential violation of the PharmCAS applicant Code of Conduct. I am aware that all submitted essays and other materials will be included as source documents in the Turnitin for Admissions reference database solely for the purpose of detecting plagiarism of such documents."
Your exclusive remedy and our entire liability, if any, for any claims arising out of these Terms and your use of this Site shall be limited to the amount you paid us for Services purchased on the Site during the six (6) month period before the act giving rise to the liability.
In no event shall we or our affiliates be liable to you or any third party for any special, punitive, incidental, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever, including, without limitation, those resulting from loss of use, data or profit loss, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, and on any theory of liability, arising out of or in connection with the use of this site or of any website referenced or linked to from this site.
Further, we shall not be liable in any way for third party promises regarding our services or content, or for assistance in conducting commercial transactions with the third party through this site, including without limitation the processing of orders.
Some jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. Please consult the laws in your jurisdiction.
You understand and agree that temporary interruptions of the Site may occur as normal events that are out of our control. You also understand and agree that we have no control over the third-party networks or service(s) (including, but not limited to: Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.) that you may use to access the Site or Services we provide. You agree that the Services available on this Site are provided “as is” and that we assume no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, misdelivery or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings.
Although Lean On works hard to provide quality Services on behalf of their clients, you understand and acknowledge that Lean On cannot promise or guarantee specific results from using the Site or Services available on this site.
Advisors’ Time and Availability:
Lean On shall have discretion in selecting the dates and times it performs such consulting and editing services giving due regard to the client’s needs. No edits will be returned later than 168 hours after receipt of initial draft, except in extenuating circumstances. Typically, edits will be provided within 72 hours. All other consultations should be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
Payments can be made once and online via Stripe. By using the Stripe payment gateway, you agree to their Terms of Service and User Policy.
Termination of Services:
Either party may terminate this relationship at any time for any reason by giving written notice to the other party. Upon termination, refunds cannot be issued for used services. In the case of payment plans, future payments will not have to be made upon termination of services.
The student is solely responsible for his/her own application in its entirety, including the submission, meeting of deadlines and communicating with AMCAS/AACOMAS or medical schools.
Further Agreements (the fine print):
By purchasing Lean On’s services I agree to the following: I release Lean On’s including its associated employees, consultants and contractors (all of whom shall be referred to as “Lean On”) and discharge Lean On from all claims, demands, or actions by me, on the basis of the discussions and interpretations of Lean On. Consideration for this release and disclaimer of liability on behalf of Lean On, shall be the services rendered by Lean On. Each service requires full pre-payment. Fees paid to Lean On are non-refundable. Partial refunds will be issued at the sole discretion of Lean On. Lean On reserves the right to terminate a relationship with a client for any reason and at the sole discretion of Lean On. Advice provided by Lean On is the intellectual property of Lean On. Services are not transferable. Parents and significant others may participate in discussions. By purchasing Lean On’s services, I agree with the aforementioned under any applicable law or regulation.
